Public Urged to Report Suspicious Global Village Links to Dubai Police eCrime.
Dubai: Dubai Police have warned residents against fraudulent websites and social media accounts promoting fake offers and packages for the upcoming season of Global Village Dubai. Authorities said scammers are attempting to exploit interest in Season 31 deals to steal money and obtain users’ personal information.
The alert comes as Global Village prepares to launch its exclusive VIP Packs for Season 31, which will be released in phases exclusively through the Coca-Cola Arena website. Presales will take place from September 21 to 25, allowing guests to secure their preferred packages early for an additional fee, before general sales begin on September 26.
Dubai Police said similar scams tend to surface each year around announcements of Global Village events, tickets and packages. Fraudsters may create fake websites or imitate official social media accounts to make them appear legitimate, potentially misleading users into making fraudulent payments or sharing sensitive personal information that could later be misused.
Authorities also advised the public to be wary of unusually cheap prices or promotions that appear too good to be true. Tickets and packages should be purchased only through official and authorised platforms, while links and accounts from unfamiliar sources should be avoided.
Dubai Police stressed that verifying the source and authenticity of an offer before making a purchase can help safeguard personal information, prevent financial losses and ensure a secure transaction.
Dubai Police have urged anyone who encounters a suspicious website, social media account or link to report it through the force’s eCrime platform or by calling 901. Authorities said public reports play an important role in tackling cybercrime and helping prevent others from becoming victims of similar scams.
