Sheikh Humaid Says Book Provides New Insights into Leadership, Service and Everyday Life.
Ajman: His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, said the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has been marked by his ability to transform vision into tangible achievements and turn confidence in people into sustainable development.
Sheikh Humaid made the remarks in response to a letter from Sheikh Mohammed that accompanied his new book, The Letters. He described the book as a reflection of decades of experience in leadership and public service, offering readers fresh insights and perspectives on life.
Sheikh Humaid said he received Sheikh Mohammed’s book, The Letters, with deep appreciation and pride. He described the work as a collection of insights drawn from extensive experience in leadership and public service, adding that it encourages readers to reflect on life and its lessons from new perspectives.
Sheikh Humaid said Sheikh Mohammed’s leadership demonstrates how vision can be translated into tangible results, ambition into accomplishment and confidence in people into sustainable development.
He also expressed his appreciation for the letters, saying their messages would continue to inspire efforts to build on the UAE’s achievements and contribute to the country’s continued progress and prosperity.

Life has taught me that each of our journeys forms part of the wider story of our nations, and that true wisdom lies in leaving behind a chapter worthy of being remembered and read by generations to come.
I have also learned that wisdom is not simply about building for people, but about building within them — nurturing values, capabilities and purpose. A lasting legacy is one that helps make the path easier for those who will carry the responsibility forward.
I write these words drawing on the lessons of experience, life and six decades devoted to public service. I write knowing that lives eventually come to an end, while ideas can continue to grow and endure. Though our time is finite, our influence can live on through the ideas we share, the actions we take and the legacy we leave behind.
Over the years, I have learned countless lessons from experience, from people and from the thousands of decisions I have made.
I have also learned from the days we have lived — from those that brought achievement and success, as well as those that shaped our judgement and deepened our wisdom.
Above all, I have learned both from what we chose to do with those days and from how those days, in turn, shaped us.
Today, through this collection of letters, I offer thoughts and messages that I hope will inspire reflection, touch hearts and bring meaningful benefit to others.
Each of us has a purpose in life. Some recognise that purpose and pursue it, while others may fail to see it. Some embrace their responsibilities and fulfil their role, while others continue searching for meaning.
I write these letters because serving our nation is a responsibility entrusted to us, and because life itself carries a greater purpose.
I write for my people, my children and my grandchildren. I write for those who have worked beside me and shared the journey with me. I write for my brothers and sisters, the people of the Emirates. And I write for people around the world — for anyone who may find in our experiences a lesson worth considering, an idea worth carrying forward or a perspective worthy of reflection.
I write from nearly six decades of public service, reflecting on the lessons I have learned, the experiences that have shaped me, the decisions I have taken, the projects I have helped bring to life and a journey dedicated to serving people. I write with the conviction that our message will reach those who follow us. Future generations may inherit a world very different from the one we know, but I hope they will continue to uphold the values and principles that guided our journey, strengthened our nation and helped preserve its achievements.
Life has taught me that words spoken with honesty, messages delivered with sincerity and ideas rooted in purpose have the power to reach people, spread widely and leave a lasting impact.
We pray to God to guide us towards success, make our ideas a source of benefit, protect our nations and lead future generations towards a prosperous path.
