Dusty winds to continue as UAE sees a drop in temperatures this week

Date:

Gusts reaching 40 km/h will trigger dusty conditions at intervals.

The UAE is expected to see generally fair weather today, along with a slight drop in temperatures, especially in northern regions, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Light to moderate south-westerly to north-westerly winds are forecast to freshen at times, reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h. These conditions may lead to blowing dust across parts of the country.

Seas will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf, becoming rough at times, while the Oman Sea is expected to remain slight.

Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 42–47°C in inland areas, 36–42°C along the coast and islands, and 32–38°C in mountainous regions.

The weather is likely to remain generally fair through Friday, with occasional partly cloudy skies over eastern areas on Wednesday. Fresh winds will continue to cause blowing dust and sand at times, with speeds of 10–25 km/h, occasionally reaching up to 40 km/h.

On Saturday, low cloud cover is expected over islands and northern regions, while humidity levels are set to rise overnight and into Sunday morning in some coastal areas. Sea conditions will vary, with the Arabian Gulf becoming rough at times in western waters, while the Oman Sea is expected to remain slight.
