RTA advises motorists to plan ahead and take four alternative routes during Sunday’s event.
Dubai: Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced temporary closures on three major roads for six and a half hours on Sunday, November 1, to accommodate Dubai Ride 2026. Motorists have been advised to take four alternative routes to avoid congestion.
The road closures will run from 3am to 9.30am. Dubai Metro services will also operate for extended hours, starting at 3am and continuing until midnight to help participants reach the event and return home.
The affected stretches include Sheikh Zayed Road, between the Trade Centre junction and Al Safa Bridge; Lower Financial Centre Street, between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road; and one direction of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard.
The RTA has recommended four alternative routes for motorists: Upper Financial Centre Street, Zabeel Palace Street, Al Wasl Road and Al Khail Road.
The authority urged drivers to plan their journeys ahead of time and follow road signs and traffic instructions throughout the closure period.
To make travel easier for event participants, Dubai Metro will begin operating at 3am on Sunday and run until midnight.
Passengers have been advised to check that their nol cards have enough credit, with a minimum balance of Dh30 recommended to cover their return trips.
The RTA also reminded commuters to respect other passengers’ personal space, allow people to exit trains before boarding and avoid blocking movement on station platforms or near train doors.
