UAE weather forecast: Dusty winds, humid nights, and scorching inland temperatures ahead

Date:

Inland areas will continue to experience intense heat through the weekend, says NCM.

Dubai: The National Centre of Meteorology has forecast generally fair weather across the United Arab Emirates on Friday, with low cloud formation expected over eastern regions and inland temperatures reaching up to 47°C.

Humidity levels are likely to rise overnight and into Saturday morning in some coastal areas, increasing the chance of fog or mist formation.

Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds are expected to prevail, occasionally strengthening and causing blowing dust, particularly across western parts of the country.

Wind speeds are forecast to range between 10–25 km/h, reaching up to 40 km/h in exposed areas. Sea conditions are expected to remain slight to moderate in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

Temperatures are set to vary between 36°C and 42°C along coastal areas and islands, while inland regions may record highs of 43°C to 47°C. Mountainous areas are expected to see temperatures ranging from 32°C to 37°C.

Saturday is expected to remain largely fair, with partly cloudy conditions developing over eastern areas. Humid conditions are likely to persist overnight into Sunday morning, increasing the chances of fog and mist along parts of the coast. Winds are expected to ease slightly, while sea conditions remain relatively calm.

Sunday will see little change, with fair skies prevailing across most areas. Humidity will continue to build overnight, particularly along coastal regions, as light to moderate winds shift from southeasterly to northwesterly.

Conditions are forecast to turn breezier on Monday, especially over the sea, where winds may reach up to 40 km/h at times. The Arabian Gulf could become moderate to rough by late evening, while temperatures remain seasonally high.

A slight relief from the heat is expected on Tuesday as temperatures ease across the country. Fresh northwesterly winds may again raise dust in open areas, while sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf are expected to turn rough to moderate.
