UAE leaders commemorate Prophet Mohammed’s enduring legacy

UAE President’s message highlights mercy, compassion and tolerance.

UAE leaders took to social media on August 25 to mark the birthday of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), observed this year on the 12th day of Rabi Al Awwal. The occasion falls on Tuesday, August 25, while the UAE has designated Friday, August 28, as the public holiday, giving many residents a three-day weekend.

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reflected on the enduring legacy of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) in a message marking his birth anniversary. He highlighted values of mercy, compassion and tolerance, while praying for the continued safety of the UAE and its people and for lasting peace and security across the region and the world.

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, also marked the occasion, reflecting on the Prophet Mohammed’s (PBUH) enduring legacy of mercy, love and tolerance. He prayed for the continued protection of the UAE and its people, and for peace and security across the region and the world.
