Rising temperatures and dusty conditions expected across the UAE, with fog likely in some coastal areas

Visibility set to decline as NCM predicts rough sea conditions in the coming days.

Dubai: The UAE is expected to experience generally fair but dusty weather on Saturday, with fresh winds likely to raise dust and sand in parts of the country. Humidity levels are also forecast to increase overnight, creating favourable conditions for fog and mist formation in some coastal areas by Sunday morning.

According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), weather conditions will remain largely fair throughout the day, although low clouds are expected to develop over eastern regions. Winds will be light to moderate for most of the day but may become stronger at times, leading to reduced horizontal visibility in open and exposed areas as dust and sand are blown into the air.

Temperatures are forecast to remain high across much of the country, reaching 39°C to 46°C in inland areas. Coastal and island regions are expected to record maximum temperatures of 36°C to 41°C, while temperatures in the mountains will range between 32°C and 37°C, offering relatively cooler conditions compared with other parts of the UAE.

Humidity levels are expected to increase overnight and into Sunday morning, especially along coastal areas, where mist and fog may develop in some locations. Relative humidity could reach as high as 90 per cent in parts of the coast, potentially reducing visibility during the early hours.

Looking ahead to Sunday, the National Center of Meteorology forecasts a gradual rise in temperatures across the UAE. Humid conditions are expected to persist during the night and into early Monday morning, particularly in coastal and inland areas. Winds will remain light to moderate, becoming fresh at times, with speeds of up to 35km/h.

On Monday and Tuesday, weather conditions across the UAE are expected to remain generally fair. However, northwesterly winds are likely to become active at times, raising dust and sand in some areas and potentially reducing visibility. Wind speeds could reach up to 40km/h, particularly during daylight hours.

Marine conditions are also expected to change over the coming days. The Arabian Gulf is forecast to be slight to moderate on Sunday before becoming rough at times from Monday onwards, especially during the night. Meanwhile, conditions in the Oman Sea are expected to remain slight to moderate throughout the forecast period, according to the National Center of Meteorology.
