Mohammed Al Sharqi commends creative team behind landmark cultural achievement.
Fujairah: Fujairah’s pioneering Music Street has been officially recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s longest musical street, marking a major milestone in the emirate’s expanding cultural and artistic landscape.
The achievement was celebrated during a meeting between Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi and the team behind the project from the Fujairah Fine Arts Academy at the Emiri Court.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi received the Guinness World Records certificate awarded to Music Street and praised the efforts of the Fujairah Fine Arts Academy in promoting culture and the arts across the emirate.
Sheikh Mohammed underscored the vital role of arts and music in enhancing community well-being and quality of life. He noted that incorporating artistic and musical elements into everyday environments can transform public spaces into distinctive cultural landmarks and create enriching experiences for both residents and visitors.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi also reaffirmed the Fujairah Government’s commitment to supporting creative initiatives that enrich communities and enhance quality of life. He said these efforts are in line with the vision and directives of Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, whose continued support has helped strengthen Fujairah’s standing as a centre for culture, creativity, and the arts.
The meeting was attended by Ali Obaid Al Hafiti, Director-General of the Fujairah Fine Arts Academy, along with members of the academy’s team who played a key role in delivering the project.
Academy representatives expressed their appreciation to the Crown Prince for his continued support and close engagement with the institution’s achievements, noting that his encouragement has enabled the academy to pursue excellence and create inspiring artistic experiences for the wider community.
The Guinness World Records recognition of Music Street marks another major milestone for Fujairah’s cultural sector and reflects the emirate’s growing investment in public art, creativity, and cultural development.
