Dubai Basketball opened their season with a thrilling victory over Real Madrid.
Dubai Basketball will welcome FC Barcelona to Coca-Cola Arena on Tuesday, September 29, as their second EuroLeague campaign continues with another high-profile encounter against one of European basketball’s biggest clubs.
The fixture comes just days after Dubai Basketball began their 2026/27 EuroLeague season with a thrilling 78-77 victory over SuperCup champions Real Madrid. The one-point win unfolded in front of a crowd of around 7,000 at Coca-Cola Arena.
After their dramatic opening-night triumph, Dubai Basketball now turn their attention to another of Europe’s most decorated teams as they look to build on their strong start to the new EuroLeague season.
Tuesday’s game will also carry special significance for Dubai Basketball head coach Xavi Pascual, who is set to face his former club for the first time since moving to Dubai.
Pascual spent eight-and-a-half years in charge of FC Barcelona, winning several domestic and European honours during his time with the Spanish club.
Pascual is beginning his first EuroLeague campaign with Dubai Basketball, leading a revamped 19-player squad into the club’s second consecutive season in Europe’s premier basketball competition.
With Barcelona next on the schedule at Coca-Cola Arena, Dubai Basketball will aim to build on their opening-round victory and maintain their strong start to the season in front of their home supporters.
