Dubai’s Naif Police Station beats emergency response target with 95-second average.

Dubai: Naif Police Station has recorded a 95-second response time for critical emergencies, beating its target of two minutes and 45 seconds by 70 seconds, according to Dubai Police’s latest annual inspection results.

The station also recorded strong safety and security indicators, including a 99.2% sense of safety, 98.8% community trust, 99.6% sense of safety when walking at night, and 99.4% security coverage in its area of jurisdiction.

Lt Gen Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, reviewed Naif Police Station’s security, criminal and traffic performance for 2025 during an inspection visit to the station.

The review was part of Dubai Police’s annual inspection programme, which assesses the performance and readiness of police stations across the emirate.

The visit focused on workflow, performance indicators, security readiness and the station’s key achievements in 2025, as well as plans to strengthen security, improve emergency response times and enhance services for the community.

Al Marri also reviewed the station’s departmental performance indicators and the results of its security, criminal and traffic operations, assessing progress against approved targets and identifying areas for further improvement.

He stressed the importance of continuously improving performance measurement tools and ensuring that results translate into stronger field performance, as well as higher levels of community satisfaction and trust.

Naif Police Station recorded several strong indicators, including:

  • 99.2% sense of safety
  • 98.8% community trust in the station
  • 99.6% sense of safety when walking at night
  • 99.4% security coverage across its jurisdiction
  • 98.6% employee job satisfaction
  • Zero traffic-related fatalities

The station’s critical emergency response time was 1 minute and 35 seconds, beating its target of 2 minutes and 45 seconds by 70 seconds. Dubai Police attributed the result to rapid deployment of patrols and specialised teams, efficient patrol distribution and effective handling of high-priority cases.

Al Marri called for the performance level to be maintained and response times reduced further through the use of smart systems and data analysis, including tracking incident hotspots and deploying patrols according to areas of higher activity and peak periods.

Al Marri also received a briefing on the performance of the station’s various sections, including the transactions received in 2025 and their completion rates. The review covered key complaints and criminal cases, along with the systems used to classify, track and resolve them within approved timeframes.

He examined the results of the station’s inspection checkpoints, which help strengthen police presence and support crime prevention. The review also analysed locations with the highest rates of traffic accidents and the measures taken with relevant authorities to address their causes and improve road safety.

Among the station’s notable field achievements was the issuance of 180 fines for noise disturbances over the past year. The measures are intended to improve quality of life, respond to community concerns and tackle behaviours that affect residents and visitors.

Al Marri stressed that performance indicators are essential for understanding the security landscape and anticipating future requirements. He called for greater use of data and statistics to allocate personnel and field resources more effectively, particularly in areas and at times requiring increased police presence.

Al Marri said Naif’s high population density, continuous commercial and tourism activity, and diverse mix of nationalities require strong readiness, proactive problem-solving and continuously updated security plans to keep pace with Dubai’s rapid development.

At the end of the inspection, he thanked Naif Police Station personnel for their efforts and the strong results achieved, saying the performance reflected effective coordination between departments, field teams and administrative units.

He urged officers and staff to continue working as one team, build on existing achievements and keep improving police services. Al Marri stressed that excellence requires sustained effort, continuous development and the ability to anticipate challenges while responding quickly to community needs.

He also highlighted the importance of supporting talented personnel, encouraging innovation and initiative, and making greater use of smart technologies and systems to strengthen security and field performance. The approach, he said, supports Dubai Police’s focus on proactive policing, readiness, rapid response, safety and quality of life.
