Saudi authorities call on the public to report residency, labour and border breaches.
Saudi Arabia has reiterated that Hajj and Umrah service companies face fines of up to SR100,000 if they fail to report pilgrims who remain in the Kingdom beyond their authorised period of stay, according to Public Security.
The authority said the penalty applies to Hajj and Umrah service providers and establishments that delay informing the relevant authorities about pilgrims or Umrah performers who overstay after their approved stay period expires.
The authority said the financial penalty could reach SR100,000 and would increase based on the number of overstayers who are not reported by Hajj and Umrah service providers.
Public Security urged members of the public to report violations related to residency, labour and border security regulations by calling 911 in Mecca, Medina, Riyadh and the Eastern Province, or 999 in other regions of the Kingdom.
The authority added that all reports would be treated with full confidentiality, and that individuals providing information would not face any legal liability.
