Aljada introduces ticket-free parking system with complimentary two-hour stays at select retail areas.

Dubai: Motorists visiting Sharjah’s Aljada will now be required to pay parking fees at selected streets, car parks and retail areas following the introduction of a new smart parking system on Wednesday.
Parkin has partnered with developer Arada to launch ticketless paid parking across the mixed-use community, marking the Dubai-listed company’s first parking operation in Sharjah.
The system uses Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology to track vehicles entering and exiting designated parking zones, eliminating the need for drivers to collect physical tickets.
Parking fees for drivers
On-street parking along Aljada’s East Boulevard will be charged at Dh6.30 per hour, including VAT, and will be available 24 hours a day.
Designated off-street parking spaces and car parks will be charged at Dh4.20 per hour, including VAT, from 8am until midnight.
Visitors parking at retail destinations including The Boulevard, Tiraz and Misk will receive the first two hours free. After the complimentary period, parking will be charged at Dh10 per hour.
Residents will continue to use parking spaces assigned under their Sale and Purchase Agreements or Title Deeds. However, any parking used beyond these allocated spaces will be subject to the new paid parking system.
Seasonal parking subscriptions will also be offered for eligible areas and can be managed through Parkin’s digital platform.
Ticketless payment system
Visitors can pay for parking through Parkin’s existing digital payment platforms, while Automatic Number Plate Recognition technology enables vehicle identification without the need for physical tickets or entry barriers.
The new system covers selected on-street, off-street and retail parking areas, with the companies stating that it aims to improve parking availability and enhance space management across Aljada.
Parkin expands into Sharjah
The partnership marks an expansion of Parkin’s operations beyond its existing public parking network, extending its services into another major developer-led community in the UAE.
Aljada has grown into one of Sharjah’s key residential, retail, educational and leisure hubs, creating increasing demand for organised parking solutions among residents, workers, students and visitors.
The paid parking system came into effect on July 15, with details on tariffs, subscriptions and payment options available through Parkin’s digital portal and customer service centre.
