The newly added conflict coverage reimburses medical expenses of up to $25,000 and includes a complimentary trip extension of up to 30 days.

Emirates has launched what it describes as the world’s first Comprehensive Travel Cover, an industry-first insurance product that includes medical coverage for conflict-related incidents, along with airline-arranged hotel accommodation and extended assistance during travel disruptions.
When itineraries involve connections on other airlines, or when Emirates services are unavailable, the airline will rebook affected passengers to their destination at no additional cost, including in cases where flights are cancelled due to conflict-related disruptions.
Customers can now plan and travel with greater peace of mind from the moment they book, thanks to expanded medical coverage supported by Travel Guard, along with additional disruption assistance from Emirates, added to the existing insurance offering.
What Emirates travel insurance covers
Emirates’ new Comprehensive Travel Cover includes a wide range of protections for travellers, such as:
- Trip cancellation cover
- Compensation for baggage delay, loss, or damage
- Unlimited worldwide medical expense cover
- Emergency medical evacuation
It also introduces new conflict-related coverage, which:
- Reimburses medical expenses up to $25,000
- Provides a free trip extension of up to 30 days
- Is not restricted by government travel advisories
In addition to insurance benefits, Emirates also offers airline-managed support during disruptions, including hotel accommodation during events like airspace closures. This is provided as a service by the airline rather than an insurance payout.
The package is supported by Travel Guard and can be purchased during booking on emirates.com or added later via Manage Booking, offering flexibility and added reassurance for travellers.
