US urges Americans to stay alert amid potential attacks and flight disruptions across the region.

Abu Dhabi: The United States has called on its citizens across the Middle East to remain highly alert amid an elevated threat of armed attacks by Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi group and reported Iranian attempts to target US government officials in the region.
In a security advisory issued on Saturday, November 7, the US Mission to the UAE also urged Americans to be prepared for potential flight cancellations, airspace closures and other travel disruptions.
“Americans currently in the Middle East should exercise heightened vigilance due to the increased threat of armed attacks by Iranian-supported Houthis and Iranian efforts to target U.S. government officials in the region,” the mission said.
The advisory follows previous US warnings about Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, including strikes targeting civilian airports and critical infrastructure. Washington has said these incidents resulted in casualties and significant disruption to travel.
US authorities have also repeatedly warned that tensions in the region could escalate quickly, with Iran and groups aligned with Tehran potentially targeting American interests abroad, including businesses and other institutions.
