ADIB Launches Digital Mobile Service to Streamline Salary Payments for Employers

Date:

New WPS-compliant feature enables employers to process salary payments directly through banking apps.

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank has launched a new digital service that allows individual employers to register and pay employee salaries directly through the ADIB Mobile Banking app, while corporate employers can use the ADIB Direct app.

The bank said it is among the first to introduce such a service, which is fully aligned with the UAE’s Wage Protection System (WPS) regulatory framework. The solution was developed in collaboration with Al Etihad Payments and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation to ensure full compliance with national requirements.

By integrating the Wage Protection System (WPS), employers can now access and verify employee records, validate salary details, and submit reports on paid and unpaid wages along with required explanations. The solution also enables in-country employee verification and enhances transparency, auditability, and regulatory compliance reporting.

The digital-first solution enhances accuracy while giving employers greater compliance, visibility, and control. It also removes the need for physical documentation and enables direct access to Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation databases through Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank’s secure digital banking platforms.
