Sharjah Expands Public Transport Network with New Bus Routes Connecting Al Madam, Al Sajaa and Sharjah to Al Dhaid Etihad Rail Station.

Dubai: The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has introduced three new public bus routes linking major locations across the emirate with Al Dhaid Etihad Rail Station, aiming to enhance connectivity and provide passengers with more convenient transport options.

The initiative forms part of Sharjah’s broader efforts to integrate different modes of transportation and establish a more accessible, reliable and efficient public transport network.

According to the authority, the newly introduced services include Route ER1 from Al Madam, Route ER2 from Al Sajaa and Route ER3 from Sharjah, with all three routes providing connections to Etihad Rail Station in Al Dhaid.

The new bus services are designed to make it easier for commuters and travellers to reach the railway station from different parts of the emirate, supporting smoother transfers between road and rail transport.

SRTA has also published the operating timetable for Route ER2, which connects Al Sajaa Bus Station with Al Dhaid Etihad Rail Station.

The journey between the two locations is expected to take approximately 43 minutes.

According to the announced schedule, the route offers 12 daily departures from Al Dhaid towards Al Sajaa, with the first service leaving at 6:40am and the final departure scheduled for 8:55pm.

The newly introduced bus routes aim to offer passengers easier and more convenient connections between Sharjah’s public transport network and Etihad Rail, improving accessibility and enabling smoother, more efficient journeys across the emirate.
