Eid initiative supports vulnerable families through food assistance and community solidarity.

Sharjah Charity International distributed 25,000 sacrificial animals during this year’s Eid Al Adha campaign, benefiting nearly 250,000 people across the UAE and 51 countries worldwide.
The large-scale humanitarian initiative was carried out on behalf of donors who entrusted the organisation with performing the Eid sacrifice ritual and distributing meat to families in need during the festive season.
Within the UAE, the charity distributed 4,000 sacrificial animals through its headquarters in Sharjah and branches in Al Bataeh, Al Madam, Al Dhaid, Kalba, Khor Fakkan and Dibba Al Hisn.
Meat was delivered directly to underprivileged families and registered beneficiaries through organised distribution systems designed to ensure fair and efficient access for eligible recipients.
Outside the UAE, Sharjah Charity International distributed 21,000 sacrificial animals across 51 countries in coordination with UAE embassies and consulates, alongside humanitarian organisations and field partners.
The association said the initiative is part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts aimed at supporting vulnerable communities and ensuring aid reaches beneficiaries in time for Eid Al Adha celebrations.
Mohammed Rashid bin Bayat, Vice Chairman of the association’s Board of Directors, said the sacrificial meat project remains one of the charity’s most important seasonal programmes because of its direct humanitarian impact and its role in strengthening social solidarity.
He said field teams and specialised committees worked around the clock to oversee inspection, slaughter and distribution operations, ensuring the meat complied with both health and Islamic standards.
Bin Bayat also praised the support of donors and their continued trust in Sharjah Charity International, while encouraging continued support for charitable initiatives that reinforce the values of compassion, generosity and community solidarity within the UAE and abroad.
