UAE and Syrian leaders reaffirm commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.

Abu Dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa met on Tuesday to discuss bilateral relations and explore ways to deepen cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the economic and development sectors.
The discussions focused on advancing shared interests and supporting the prosperity and wellbeing of the people of both nations.
The meeting took place during Al-Sharaa’s working visit to the UAE, where he is participating in the 24th edition of the Arab Media Summit in Dubai.
The two leaders reiterated their commitment to deepening UAE-Syria relations, supporting shared development priorities and promoting greater prosperity for the people of both countries.
The two leaders highlighted the significance of the recent visit by a UAE economic delegation to Syria, noting its role in expanding cooperation and establishing frameworks to support economic recovery. They also discussed opportunities to advance strategic projects through partnerships aligned with the development priorities of both countries.
The talks also covered the Arab Media Summit and the major issues on its agenda. Sheikh Mohamed thanked President Al-Sharaa for accepting the invitation to participate in the summit.
The two sides also exchanged views on a range of regional and international issues, with particular focus on developments in the Middle East and their potential impact on the region’s future, security and stability. They stressed the importance of strengthening regional and global security and stability to support sustainable development and the wellbeing of people worldwide.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court; Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region; Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Also present were Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed Authority for People of Determination; Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; as well as a number of sheikhs, ministers, senior officials and guests.
President Al-Sharaa departed the UAE following the conclusion of his visit. He was seen off at the airport by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and several other officials.
