UAE to experience dusty winds and changing temperatures until Saturday

Date:

Motorists are urged to drive carefully, as dust in the air may lower visibility on the roads.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast fair to partly cloudy weather across the UAE from today until Saturday, with dusty winds and fluctuating temperatures expected throughout the period.

Today’s weather will remain generally fair to partly cloudy, with light to moderate winds becoming fresh at times, leading to blowing dust. These conditions are being driven by a weak surface low-pressure system extending from the east, along with a high-pressure system from the west.

On Wednesday, temperatures are expected to increase slightly, with south-easterly winds gradually turning north-westerly and reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h. Sea conditions will be slight to moderate, becoming rough offshore in the Arabian Gulf by night.

Conditions are expected to ease on Thursday, with temperatures dropping, especially in western areas, while similar wind patterns may still lead to dusty conditions. Sea conditions may become rough at times in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

Friday and Saturday will remain generally fair with occasional cloud cover, while winds continue to freshen. Sea conditions will vary between slight and moderate, turning rough at times, particularly during the night.
