Temperatures Could Reach 46°C on Tuesday Before Gradually Easing From Wednesday.
Dubai: Temperatures across the UAE are forecast to gradually ease from Wednesday after potentially reaching 46°C on Tuesday, while fog, blowing dust and rough sea conditions are expected in some areas through the end of the week.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), Tuesday will be generally fair to partly cloudy, with clouds forming over eastern parts of the country. Some of these could develop into convective clouds during the afternoon.
Humidity is expected to increase overnight and into Wednesday morning across some coastal areas, raising the possibility of fog or mist.
Inland areas could record temperatures between 41°C and 46°C, while highs across coastal areas and islands are expected to range from 36°C to 41°C. Mountainous regions are forecast to see temperatures between 29°C and 35°C.
Winds will generally blow from the south-east to north-east at light to moderate speeds, occasionally strengthening and reaching up to 35km/h over mountainous areas.
Sea conditions are expected to remain slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Sea of Oman.
Temperatures to ease from Wednesday
Temperatures are expected to begin a gradual decline on Wednesday. The weather will remain generally fair to partly cloudy, with clouds continuing to develop over eastern areas.
Humidity is expected to increase overnight and into Thursday morning across some coastal and inland areas, bringing a possibility of fog or mist.
Winds could reach speeds of up to 35km/h, while conditions in the Sea of Oman may become rough at times by Wednesday night.
Blowing dust and rough seas expected
On Thursday, the weather is forecast to remain fair to partly cloudy, with low clouds forming over eastern areas.
Winds are expected to strengthen at times, reaching speeds of up to 35km/h and potentially stirring up dust in exposed areas.
Sea conditions could also become more unsettled, with both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman expected to turn rough at times.
On Friday, skies are forecast to be partly cloudy, becoming cloudy at times over eastern and southern parts of the country. Winds could once again reach 35km/h, raising the possibility of blowing dust.
Conditions at sea are expected to range from moderate to slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
By Saturday, partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected to continue at times over eastern areas. Winds should ease slightly, with maximum speeds of around 30km/h.
Sea conditions are also forecast to improve, becoming slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
