UAE prepares for rain, mist, and rough seas as winds strengthen.

Date:

Rain, mist, and strong winds expected ahead.

The UAE is expected to experience fair to partly cloudy weather today, with a chance of light rainfall, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Light to moderate north-westerly to south-westerly winds are forecast, becoming stronger at times and causing blowing dust and sand. Wind speeds are expected to range between 10–25 km/h, reaching up to 40 km/h.

Sea conditions will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in the Oman Sea.

On Wednesday, conditions are expected to be fair to partly cloudy, turning cloudy at times, particularly over western areas, along with a drop in temperatures.

Winds will be light to moderate, shifting from south-westerly to north-westerly, and becoming fresh to strong at times, especially over the sea. These winds may cause blowing dust and sand, reducing horizontal visibility. Wind speeds are forecast at 15–30 km/h, reaching up to 45 km/h in some areas.

Sea conditions are expected to be rough to very rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in the Oman Sea. Temperatures are set to rise slightly, reaching up to 33°C inland and around 31°C along the coast.

Weather conditions are likely to remain unsettled, with a continued chance of light rain and strengthening winds that may raise dust and sand. A noticeable drop in temperatures is also expected on Wednesday, along with fresh to strong winds and reduced visibility.

From Thursday, weather conditions are expected to stabilise, with fair to partly cloudy skies and humid nights. Temperatures are then forecast to gradually rise again by Friday.
