There’s a wide range on offer, with something for everyone.

The music has found a way to play on.
It has been a difficult few months, owing to tensions in the Middle East, and a number of concerts scheduled for Abu Dhabi and Dubai were postponed. But as life gradually returns to normal, live performances are coming back, and the region is once again hosting a touring circuit that spans orchestral intimacy, arena rock, global pop, comedy, and spectacle-driven family shows.
There is no doubt about the range on offer—something for everyone. The same season that brings stripped-back piano compositions to Dubai Opera also delivers stadium-sized pop productions at Etihad Arena and nostalgia-heavy arena rock at Coca-Cola Arena.
Here’s what’s coming up in 2026.
Dubai Opera leads with intimate, performance-first concerts.
Pianist and composer Tony Ann opens this stretch on April 29, 2026, setting the tone with a richly textured performance. A month later, Brazilian music icon Lulu Santos takes the same stage on May 23, bringing decades of melodic pop and lyrical warmth to a seated, theatre-style audience at Dubai Opera.
Rock on
Atif Aslam is promising double the emotion this year. Fans have a date to mark, as he returns to the capital for a live show at Etihad Arena on July 18. Known for his angsty yet romantic tracks and film anthems (hello Aadat), he brings a setlist built for big feelings.
And once the emotions have been thoroughly processed—or not—it’s time to switch gears entirely.
On August 2, 2026, rock royalty Def Leppard takes over Coca-Cola Arena for a full-volume, no-skipping-the-chorus kind of night. Expect power riffs, crowd-wide singalongs, and that familiar collective moment where everyone suddenly remembers lyrics they haven’t thought about in years.
It’s also another clear sign of a familiar UAE live music pattern: legacy acts continue to dominate the arena circuit.
A time for nostalgia and pop joy
Time to open that bottle—because Christina Aguilera is set to perform on September 25, 2026, with a fully-fledged production expected to match her powerhouse catalogue.
But that’s not all. All rise for the hip-hop beats and early-2000s pop nostalgia, because Blue is all that millennial hearts need. In Dubai, Expo City Dubai will host boyband favourites Blue for their 25th anniversary tour—an easy trigger for anyone suddenly feeling 13 again.
Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi continues its theatrical programming, with Riverdance returning to Etihad Arena from October 31 to November 1. The production brings Irish dance, rhythm, and stagecraft in a format that has sustained global touring longevity for decades.
Closing the year with regional and global favourites
As 2026 winds down, the calendar continues to balance international star power, with the Offlimits Festival arriving on November 21, headlined by Shakira and the Jonas Brothers.
If you’ve somewhat recovered from the energy of Shakira, Atif Aslam returns again to take the stage in Dubai on November 27 at Coca-Cola Arena.
Indie-pop artist Anuv Jain will perform at Expo City Dubai in November, while Turkish pop icon Tarkan performs in Abu Dhabi on November 27 at Etihad Arena, closing the season on a high-energy, stadium-pop note.
Whew—that’s quite a lineup.
