Sheikh Mohammed: Humanitarian action is measured by impact, not publicity.

Dubai: The UAE will continue to make a lasting humanitarian impact and bring hope and a better quality of life to people in need, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said on Wednesday as the country marked World Humanitarian Day.
Reflecting on the values that have shaped the UAE’s humanitarian efforts since its foundation, Sheikh Mohammed said true humanitarian work should be judged by the difference it makes in people’s lives, rather than by words or publicity.
Sheikh Mohammed said true humanitarian impact is defined by the difference made in people’s lives, rather than the volume of words or publicity surrounding it.
Sheikh Mohammed said humanitarianism does not need people to speak on its behalf, but people who are willing to take action and make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.
He said the UAE’s commitment to humanitarian action is rooted in the values established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the country’s Founding Fathers.
Sheikh Mohammed said the UAE had consistently chosen to stand on the side of humanitarian action and would continue to make a meaningful impact by bringing hope and improving lives.
