Date:

Students, administrative and teaching staffs can leave early to avoid getting stuck on flooded roads and valleys.

Be prepared: It will rain in some parts of the country from today until Tuesday, according to the weather forecast by the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).

This prompted the Ministry of Education to allow schools to declare cancellation of classes if the inclement weather will pose a danger, particularly during heavy rains. Students, administrative and teaching staffs can leave early to avoid getting stuck on flooded roads and valleys.

Fawzia Gharib, assistant undersecretary for the school operations sector, however, clarified that only schools located in areas that are affected by adverse weather conditions have the mandate to issues such emergency leave.

According to the NCM, it will rain in eastern and southern areas of the country today. Moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will prevail and will cause blowing dust.

It will again be cloudy tomorrow and rain is expected is southern areas. Convective clouds formation will continue to bring showers over southern areas on Monday and rain is expected to also hit the eastern areas on Tuesday. The seas, however, will be slight to moderate.
