Date:

The minister said a briefing would be given to the parliamentary committee on religious affairs on March 5.

The Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry on Thursday said that the holy month of Ramadan is expected to begin in Pakistan from April 25.

Taking to twitter, Fawad said: “The moon of holy month of c will be sighted in Pakistan on the evening of April 24 and the Ramadan is likely to start from April 25.”

Fawad Chaudhry said the Ruet-i-Hilal Committee had earlier announced wrong dates for the months of Zilqad and Rajab.

The federal minister further said a briefing would be given to the parliamentary committee on religious affairs on March 5.

Last year in May, Chaudhry announced Pakistan’s first-ever moon-sighting website. This was followed by the launch of the country’s first-ever moon-sighting app to share real-time information about the moon.
