Dubai: Oman’s Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has advised consumers to immediately discontinue use of the BenQ GV31 Portable Projector after identifying a battery defect that may create a fire hazard.
The authority stated that the warning was issued due to the possibility of the projector’s battery overheating, which could lead to a fire and pose a potential safety risk to users.
The CPA has urged owners of the affected product to stop using it immediately and follow the authority’s safety instructions to reduce any potential risks.
The authority stated that the warning is part of its continued efforts to safeguard consumers by tracking potentially unsafe products and issuing timely safety alerts when required.
It also encouraged consumers to stay alert and follow product safety advisories to help prevent accidents and protect their well-being.
