A similar black ring also appeared over Dubai.
A Twitter video of an eerie black ring of smoke floating over Lahore, Pakistan, has left residents and social media users guessing.
The footage shows a perfectly round mysterious black ring of smoke in the sky which sparked netizens to come up with a slew of conspiracy theories.
The video was posted on Monday and since has been viewed over 37,000 times, creating quite a buzz. Some speculated that it could have been caused by an alien spaceship, while others shared videos of similar black rings appearing in other parts of the world.
One Twitter user also posted a video of a similar black ring over Dubai skies.
According to The Sun, the black smoke ring could have been caused by an industrial fault on the ground and the smoke ring was likely created by a small combustion of explosion through a circular structure. In a similar incident in 2014, a mysterious black ring in the sky over Leamington Spa in UK was eventually traced to a fireworks test.
Again in 2012, NBC News reported that a nearly identical smoke ring was also spotted over Chicago and it appeared due to an electrical transformer that blew up.
