How a modest Eid bike ride became one of the UAE’s biggest annual brotherhood events

‘Biker Buddies Eid Brotherhood Ride 2026’ rides forward with a shared goal of giving back.

Dubai: What began as a small gathering of motorcycle enthusiasts has grown into one of the UAE’s most anticipated multi-club biking events, bringing together hundreds of riders united by both passion and purpose.

Amid the current geopolitical climate, the fourth edition of the “Biker Buddies Eid Brotherhood Ride”, held on the second day of Eid, brought together more than 350 motorcyclists from 41 nationalities, representing 23 clubs from across the country.

How did the ride begin?

Launched in 2023 with just 175 participants, the annual ride has grown steadily into a symbol of unity within the UAE’s diverse motorcycling community.

Vicky M, president of Biker Buddies Brotherhood and the organiser behind the initiative, said the event was always intended to be more than just a group ride.

“We don’t ride just for ourselves, but for those whose struggles often go unnoticed. This brotherhood stands for unity beyond borders, backgrounds, and machines,” said Vicky M.

“When hundreds of bikers unite with a shared purpose — to help others — it reflects the true strength and spirit of our community.”

He emphasised that the country’s multicultural environment has contributed greatly to the event’s success.

“The UAE is unique in bringing bikers together under a common cause of brotherhood and giving back.”

What’s the purpose of the ride?

Beyond the roar of engines and the open road, the ride carries a strong humanitarian mission. Participants contribute towards installing water coolers in worker accommodations, helping blue-collar labourers cope with the country’s intense summer heat.

The convoy follows a route from Dubai to Kalba Corniche, covering a round trip of approximately 280km.

For many participants, the ride is about more than the journey — it embodies the community’s spirit of giving, particularly during Eid.

What makes the UAE special?

Participants say the ride highlights what makes the UAE truly unique.

“The annual Biker Buddies Eid Brotherhood Ride is a celebration of unity, friendship, and community spirit — bringing together people from different backgrounds and cultures, all united by a shared passion. That’s what makes the UAE so special,” said Ronnie Svensson, a marshal at Harley Owners Group Dubai.

For Kranthi Ramisetty, brand manager at Royal Enfield, the event showcased the UAE’s vibrant and thriving biking culture.

“We aim to bring more joy into people’s lives through our epic brotherhood rides and look forward to exploring the magnificent Middle East,” said Ramisetty.

Similarly, Hanan Sulaiman, the UAE’s first certified sports track racer, highlighted that the event’s growing scale reflects the country’s spirit of harmony.

“It strengthens unity and solidarity within the biking community across the Emirates. It also demonstrates the high level of integration and inclusiveness inherent in the UAE’s multicultural society,” Sulaiman said.

Why is it more than a ride?

According to the Pakistani Riders Group UAE, the event has grown into something beyond just a ride.

“Every rider shared one road and one purpose — to celebrate Eid together as a family,” explained Mirza Khud, founder of the group.

“It wasn’t about speed or distance, but about connection, proving that when brothers ride side by side, every journey becomes memorable.”

Khud also noted that the day included moments of reflection, tea stops, and exchanges of greetings, further strengthening the sense of camaraderie among participants.

What’s next?

The Biker Buddies Eid Brotherhood Ride is rapidly establishing itself as a flagship event on the region’s biking calendar, with organisers anticipating even larger participation in the coming years.

As the convoy concluded its journey, one thing was clear: in the UAE, the spirit of brotherhood extends far beyond the road, enduring regardless of weather or challenges.
