Dubai announces extension of truck permits with no set end date

Date:

Exclusions apply: airport and Al Shindagha tunnels remain restricted for safety reasons.

Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) and Dubai Police General Headquarters have extended the truck movement permit, allowing trucks to operate across Dubai’s roads 24/7 until further notice. The move aims to support the logistics sector and ensure the smooth functioning of supply chains.

The Airport Tunnel and Al Shindagha Tunnel are excluded from this decision, with traffic restrictions remaining in place to maintain road safety and ensure smooth traffic flow.

The decision is part of ongoing efforts to support economic and commercial activity, allowing transport and logistics companies to operate efficiently. It aligns with the emirate’s dynamic pace and aims to further enhance Dubai’s logistical readiness.

Authorities urged all truck drivers and transport companies to adhere to traffic rules and regulations, and to cooperate with the relevant authorities to maintain the highest standards of road safety and ensure smooth traffic flow across Dubai’s roads.
