Wasl Gate has unveiled an 82,700-square-metre Central Park, making it one of the largest community parks in Dubai.

Dubai: The city has unveiled its own version of “Central Park” as Wasl Group opens a large new public green space in Jebel Ali, reflecting Dubai’s continued focus on community-oriented urban development.
The 82,700-square-metre Central Park, located within the Wasl Gate residential development, is among the largest parks built inside a housing community in Dubai and is open to both residents and the wider public.
Spanning roughly 82,700 square metres, the park is designed to serve both Wasl Gate residents and visitors from across the city.
Like its New York namesake, Dubai’s Central Park functions as a major urban green space within a dense city setting, providing areas for exercise, social gatherings, and leisure away from the surrounding built environment.
The park features jogging and cycling tracks, sports courts, a skate park, picnic areas, an amphitheatre lawn, and dedicated food truck spaces, designed to attract families and encourage outdoor activity in a city where urban planners are increasingly focusing on liveability.
Wasl said the project also aligns with the Dubai Social Agenda 33, the government’s long-term strategy to enhance quality of life and strengthen family and community wellbeing.
“As 2026 marks the Year of the Family, Central Park reflects our continued commitment to creating environments that encourage meaningful connections and improve everyday living,” the company said in a statement.

Wasl Gate, located near Sheikh Zayed Road and Energy Metro Station in Jebel Ali, is among several large master-planned developments designed to support Dubai’s growing population.
Wasl said the park was constructed using environmentally sustainable materials, aligning with the growing focus on greener urban development across the UAE.
Wasl Group, one of Dubai’s largest property developers, manages more than 60,000 residential and commercial units and over 1,000 buildings across the emirate.
In recent years, Dubai has accelerated efforts to develop more integrated residential districts.
Developers are increasingly moving beyond housing supply to create mixed-use communities centred on health, recreation, and social interaction. Examples include Dubai Hills Estate, Tilal Al Ghaf, Expo City Dubai’s residential districts, Mohammed Bin Rashid City in Meydan, and Wasl Gate itself.
