Dubai Motorists Advised to Monitor Live Traffic Updates as Congestion Increases on Major Roads.

Dubai: Commuters travelling to work on Tuesday morning are experiencing heavy congestion across several major roads in Dubai, with a traffic accident on the Umm Suqeim Street bridge causing additional disruptions.

Dubai Police confirmed through a post on X that an accident was affecting traffic on the Umm Suqeim Street bridge in the direction from Al Khail Street towards Al Barsha South. Authorities have advised drivers approaching the area to remain cautious.

According to live traffic monitoring maps, vehicles are moving at reduced speeds along Al Khail Road, particularly on the stretch connecting Al Quoz to Business Bay, where multiple traffic incidents have been reported.

Slow-moving traffic is also affecting Ras Al Khor Road, especially between Dubai Design District and Nadd Al Hamar.

Motorists using Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road are encountering delays around Jumeirah Village Circle, Dubai Sports City and Dubai South.

Traffic volumes are also increasing along the route from Mirdif towards Al Qusais and Sharjah. Meanwhile, drivers heading towards Sharjah via Al Ittihad Road are experiencing slower journeys near Al Nahda and Al Mamzar.

Additional congestion has been reported on Umm Suqeim Street, particularly around Al Barsha South and Circle Mall.

Several internal roads are also witnessing heavier traffic, including routes through Oud Metha, Al Karama and Al Qusais. Airport Road near Al Garhoud is similarly experiencing increased vehicle movement and delays.

However, traffic conditions appear comparatively smoother along Emirates Road and selected sections of Dubai-Al Ain Road, where vehicles are moving without significant disruption.

Travel advice for Dubai motorists

Drivers planning their journeys are encouraged to consult real-time traffic applications before leaving home and consider alternative routes to avoid heavily congested areas.

Motorists should maintain a safe following distance, remain alert near accident locations and avoid unnecessary slowing to observe roadside incidents, as this can worsen congestion.

For the latest traffic developments, commuters are advised to monitor official announcements from Dubai Police and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
