Dubai Ride 2026: RTA Reveals Designated Parking Areas for Cyclists Ahead of Sunday’s Event

Date:

RTA Urges Cyclists to Use Designated Parking Areas for a Hassle-Free Dubai Ride.

Dubai: Cyclists taking part in Dubai Ride 2026 this Sunday can plan their journey more easily, with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announcing three designated parking locations for the event.

Dubai Ride will take place on Sunday, November 1. Participants are advised to arrive between 4am and 6am. Cycling starts at 6.15am, gates close at 7.30am and roads are scheduled to reopen to traffic at 8.15am, making an early arrival essential.

Where to park

To help ensure a smooth arrival, the RTA has asked participants to park at one of three designated locations before heading directly to the event:

  • Dubai World Trade Centre Parking
  • Dubai Mall Parking
  • Dubai Mall Zabeel Parking

All three locations are conveniently situated near the starting points along Sheikh Zayed Road and in Downtown Dubai.

Two routes, one city

This year’s event features two routes. The 12km Sheikh Zayed Road route runs from Dubai World Trade Centre to Safa Park and back, taking cyclists over the Dubai Canal bridge. It is suited to more experienced riders.

The 4km Downtown family route offers a flat ride along Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, passing Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera and Burj Khalifa.

The Sheikh Zayed Road route has five starting points: Museum of the Future, Al Satwa, Coca-Cola Arena, Business Bay and Lower Financial Street. The Downtown route has a single starting point. Participants must finish at the same gate from which they started.

Before you go

Participation is free, but registration is mandatory through dubairide.com. Participants can collect their bibs from the Dubai Municipality 30×30 Fitness Village at Zabeel Park until October 31. They must bring their registration QR code to collect their bib.

Riders must bring their own bicycles and wear helmets. E-bikes are permitted, but scooters are not allowed.

Part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge

Dubai Ride is one of the flagship events of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, an annual 30-day initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence. The challenge encourages residents and visitors to complete 30 minutes of physical activity every day for 30 days.

Once a year, Sheikh Zayed Road transforms into a car-free cycling route, offering participants a unique view of Dubai’s skyline.

Last year’s edition attracted a record 40,327 cyclists, with organisers expecting even greater participation this year.
