Dubai Basketball continued their strong form, carrying momentum into the ABA League play-offs and building on their previous performances.

Dubai Basketball made a powerful start to their 2025/26 ABA League quarter-final campaign, defeating Spartak Office Shoes 102–74 at Zetra Arena in Sarajevo to take a 1–0 lead in the best-of-three series.
The hosts set the tone early, scoring 31 points in the first quarter to establish a 31–22 lead. They maintained control in the second quarter, extending their advantage and going into half-time ahead 54–41.
After the break, Dubai stepped up the intensity again, adding 30 points in the third quarter to widen the gap to 84–59. They then sealed the contest with a dominant 11–0 run early in the fourth quarter, pushing the score to 95–59 and effectively ending any hopes of a comeback.
From there, Dubai comfortably closed out the game, securing a convincing 28-point win and a strong opening statement in the series.
Dubai Basketball head coach Aleksandar Sekulić praised his team’s response after the break following their ABA League play-off win.
He said, “It was very important how we reacted after the slightly longer break. I think the reaction was great, especially defensively.”
“We wanted to focus on our game, the way we want to play, and execute on both ends of the floor. I think we did a very good job and finished Game 1 strongly, but now we must turn our attention to the second game, because the result means nothing without it.”
Džanan Musa and Mfiondu Kabengele played key roles in Dubai Basketball’s dominant victory, delivering standout all-round performances.
Musa scored a season-high 31 points in ABA League action, while Kabengele recorded an impressive double-double with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Dubai Basketball now leads the quarter-final series 1–0 and needs one more win to reach the semi-finals. Game 2 will take place in Subotica on Sunday, May 10.
