Dubai announces Eid Al Adha public holiday for private schools.

Date:

Students will begin their official holiday on Monday, May 25, and continue until Friday, May 29, with classes set to resume on Monday, June 1.

Dubai announced the dates for the Eid Al Adha public holiday for private schools across the emirate on Tuesday, May 12.

Students will begin their official holiday on Monday, May 25, and continue until Friday, May 29, with classes resuming on Monday, June 1.

This results in a nine-day break for students, with the weekends on May 23–24 and May 30–31 observed as usual.

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) announced the decision following the UAE Ministry of Education’s earlier disclosure of mid-term break dates for the third term. The Eid Al Adha holiday for students, as well as administrative and teaching staff, will run from May 25 to May 29.

The authority confirmed the schedule after approving the academic calendar for the remainder of the school year. The break comes just before students enter their final assessment period, offering a short rest ahead of examinations.

According to the schedule, students will return to classrooms on June 1 to resume the third term, with mock examinations scheduled for June 15 and 16.

The official Islamic New Year holiday will fall on June 17, followed by the end-of-term examination period from June 24 to July 3. The Ministry has designated July 3 as the final day of the school year for students.
