Direct Zurich flights will be available every Friday and Sunday as part of the airline’s summer expansion.

Dubai: As summer travel demand gathers pace, Kuwait Airways has inaugurated its first commercial service to Zurich, expanding its European network with a new direct connection to Switzerland’s largest city.
The airline will operate two weekly flights to Zurich every Friday and Sunday, beginning this Friday, as part of its expanded summer flight programme.
Acting Chief Executive Officer Abdulwahab Al-Shatti said the new route forms part of Kuwait Airways’ broader strategy to expand its international network and introduce destinations that align with evolving customer demand.
He noted that Zurich has become an increasingly popular summer destination, making it a valuable addition to the airline’s schedule as more travellers seek direct connections to leading European leisure markets.
Al-Shatti said Kuwait Airways remains committed to expanding travel choices for passengers through the introduction of new destinations and routes that cater to evolving market demand.
Airline expands international network
The launch of the Zurich service comes as Kuwait Airways continues to broaden its international footprint and strengthen its operational performance across key markets.
Al-Shatti said the airline is focused on enhancing service standards and improving the overall passenger experience as it advances its growth strategy, with network expansion remaining a central pillar of its long-term plans.
Al-Shatti added that Kuwait Airways is executing its operational plans in line with high service and performance standards, reflecting its role as Kuwait’s national carrier and its commitment to offering enhanced services, greater connectivity and competitive travel options during peak travel periods.
