The airline continues with its adjusted Middle East flight schedules while closely monitoring airspace conditions.

Dubai: British Airways has prolonged its temporary cutbacks on Middle East flights, attributing the decision to ongoing uncertainty in regional airspace

The airline had previously halted services to and from Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, and Tel Aviv until later this month, while flights to Abu Dhabi remain suspended for a longer duration.

In a statement, it said, “Owing to ongoing uncertainty in the Middle East and unstable airspace, and to give our customers greater clarity, we have extended the temporary reduction of our flight schedule in the region.”

British Airways added that it is closely tracking developments and coordinating directly with affected passengers. “We are continuously reviewing the situation and communicating with impacted customers to provide a range of options,” the airline stated.

British Airways stated that it has already assisted thousands of passengers in returning home and operated eight relief flights from Muscat. “Since the Middle East situation began, we’ve helped thousands of customers return home and conducted eight relief flights from Muscat in Oman,” the airline said.

The carrier is also boosting capacity on alternative routes, adding flights to destinations such as Singapore and Bangkok, while continuing to explore options to support more affected travelers.
