Anwar Gargash: UAE emerged victorious in the conflict it aimed to prevent.

Date:

“The nation forges ahead, strengthened by experience.”

Abu Dhabi: Dr Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President, stated that the UAE had prevailed in a conflict it had earnestly sought to avoid, thanks to a heroic national defence that safeguarded the country’s sovereignty, dignity, and achievements against brutal aggression.

In a post on X, Gargash added that the nation now moves forward with greater experience, deeper understanding, and an enhanced capacity to influence and shape the future while navigating a complex regional landscape.

He added that the UAE’s strength, resilience, and steadfastness have further strengthened the nation’s development model.

A slightly more journalistic alternative could be:

He noted that the UAE’s resilience, strength, and unwavering resolve have reinforced its development model.

His remarks came following the US‑Iran ceasefire signed early on Wednesday morning, after both sides agreed to a temporary two‑week truce aimed at easing regional tensions and reopening the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz for safe passage — a move broadly seen as a short‑term de‑escalation in the months‑long conflict.

Statement by Dr Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President:

“The UAE has prevailed in a war we sincerely sought to avoid, achieving victory through a heroic national defence that protected our sovereignty, upheld our dignity, and safeguarded our achievements in the face of brutal aggression.

Today, we move forward in navigating a complex regional landscape with greater experience, deeper understanding, and an enhanced capacity to influence and shape the future.

Our strength, resilience, and steadfastness have further reinforced the UAE’s development model.”
