Air India, Air India Express halt Dubai operations due to Dubai Airports shutdown.

Dubai: Flights operated by Air India and Air India Express to and from Dubai International Airport have been cancelled for the day following the airport’s temporary suspension of all flight operations.

The airlines confirmed that the cancellations are a direct result of the airport’s temporary closure, affecting services operated by both carriers.

“Dubai International Airport has temporarily suspended all flight operations to and from the airport. Consequently, Air India and Air India Express flights to and from Dubai have been cancelled for the day,” the airlines said.

Passengers affected by the disruption have been offered flexible options and rebooking without additional charges.

Affected passengers can choose to reschedule their flights or cancel for a full refund, with no additional charges.

Passengers were offered an apology as the airline acknowledged the unavoidable disruption.

Air India Express special flights continue

Although flights to and from Dubai remain cancelled, Air India Express confirmed that its special operations from other airports in the UAE will continue as scheduled.

“Air India Express’ ad-hoc flight operations to and from Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and Sharjah will continue as scheduled,” the airline said.

It added that teams are actively assisting passengers affected by the disruption.

“Our teams remain fully committed to supporting guests and ensuring that stranded passengers are safely returned home as soon as possible,” the airline stated.

The carriers did not provide a timeline for when flights to and from Dubai would resume.

The Dubai-based airline said it is coordinating with the relevant authorities to evaluate the situation and determine when flight operations can safely resume.
