AD Ports Group affirms that its operations are running normally despite regional tensions.

Date:

As a result of reduced traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, a decrease in vessel calls at Khalifa Port is expected.

On Wednesday, March 4, AD Ports Group confirmed that all its operations are continuing as normal amid ongoing regional developments.

As a precaution, the group has activated its crisis management and business continuity protocols, coordinating with relevant UAE authorities to protect its workforce, partners, and stakeholders while maintaining uninterrupted services for customers.

The group confirmed that all UAE ports and terminals managed by the Ports Cluster, along with associated services, continue to operate fully.

AD Ports Group confirmed that while a decline in traffic through the Strait of Hormuz is expected to reduce vessel calls at Khalifa Port, all services at the port will remain fully operational and uninterrupted.

The group anticipates increased volumes across its diversified global maritime network as trading routes shift in response to evolving regional developments.

Latest data indicate that the majority of the group’s 122 shipping vessels—including container, bulk, Ro-Ro, and multipurpose ships—are operating outside the Strait of Hormuz, with those still within the Strait continuing intra-Gulf services.

Overall, the impact on the Maritime and Shipping Cluster is expected to be limited. Similarly, the Group’s Economic Cities, Free Zones, and Logistics Clusters are projected to face minimal disruption.

AD Ports Group stated it continues to closely monitor geopolitical developments, assessing potential effects on maritime routes, supply chains, and global trade flows, and will provide further market updates as the situation evolves.
