Traffic slows on E22 and E30 as temporary lane closure affects motorists on E11.
Abu Dhabi: Traffic is building across several major roads in the emirate, while a temporary lane closure remains in place on the E11 in Al Dhafra.
Morning traffic conditions continue to fluctuate, with congestion affecting key routes linking central Abu Dhabi with Khalifa City, Mohammed Bin Zayed City and Mussafah.
Recent Google Maps traffic data indicates heavy congestion on the E22 (Abu Dhabi–Al Ain Road) near the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque interchange, with delays continuing towards the Rabdan junction with the E30.
Motorists are also experiencing slower traffic along sections of the E30, including Al Rawdah Road, particularly around Mohammed Bin Zayed City and on routes heading towards the Mafraq area.
Drivers travelling towards Khalifa City, Mazyad Mall and Mussafah could face longer travel times due to congestion. Slow-moving traffic has also been reported near the ADNOC Vehicle Inspection Centre and the Mafraq Traffic Department.
In central Abu Dhabi, moderate to heavy traffic has been reported along the E22 near Al Wahda Mall and Mubadala Tower. Motorists are also facing slower conditions on Mubarak Bin Mohammed Street in Al Nahyan and Al Dhafrah Street near Mushrif Mall.
Meanwhile, a separate traffic restriction remains in effect on Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed International Road (E11) in the Al Dhafra region. The left lane towards Abu Dhabi is closed from September 15 to 20, according to Abu Dhabi Mobility. Drivers are advised to follow temporary road signs and allow additional time for their journeys.
A reduced speed limit is also in effect on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Road, where the maximum speed has been lowered from 120km/h to 100km/h in both directions from September 14.
