Abu Dhabi offers free entry to three major museums this month: Dates, access and everything you need to know

Date:

Book fair registration unlocks free entry to Louvre Abu Dhabi and two other museums.

Dubai: Residents and visitors in Abu Dhabi can enjoy free access to three of the capital’s prominent cultural attractions this month. The offer is linked to free registration for the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, with the same ticket providing complimentary museum entry even if the holder does not attend the fair itself.

The promotion is valid until September 29, 2026, giving visitors flexibility to schedule their museum trips around weekdays, work commitments or weekends.

How to get free museum entry

Entry to the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) is free, and visitors only need to register for a ticket to take advantage of the museum offer. The same ticket provides complimentary one-time admission to Zayed National Museum, Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi and Louvre Abu Dhabi.

Visitors are not required to attend the book fair to use the free museum access. While the event at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec) runs until September 18, the complimentary museum entry linked to the ticket remains valid until September 29, giving visitors additional time to make use of the offer.

Registration can be completed online, with visitors required to provide only a few basic personal details and a valid email address to obtain their ticket.

The three museums included in the offer

Louvre Abu Dhabi – Saadiyat Cultural District

Famous for its striking dome, which creates a distinctive “rain of light” effect across the spaces below, Louvre Abu Dhabi showcases artworks and cultural objects spanning centuries of human history and civilisations from around the world.

Zayed National Museum – Saadiyat Cultural District

Dedicated to the life and legacy of the UAE’s Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Zayed National Museum explores the country’s history, heritage and the values that shaped the formation and development of the UAE.

Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi – Saadiyat Cultural District

One of the newer attractions in the cultural district, Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi takes visitors on a journey through the natural world, featuring fossils, ecosystems and exhibits designed to appeal to families as well as individual visitors.

When and how to register

Dates: September 13 to 29, 2026
Cost: Free, with advance online registration required
How to register: Sign up through the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair website and use the same ticket to access the participating museums.

Registration takes just a few minutes and confirmation is generally sent by email soon after sign-up. Each ticket provides one complimentary visit to each participating museum, so those hoping to explore all three venues can plan their visits across different days during the offer period.
