NCM Predicts Winds Reaching 50km/h, Along With Fog and Mist in Parts of the UAE.

Dubai: The UAE is set to experience a five-day period of changing weather conditions from Wednesday through Sunday, November 1, with chances of rainfall, gusty winds, blowing dust and fog in certain areas, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
In its latest forecast, the NCM indicated that Wednesday’s weather would be generally fair to partly cloudy, with convective cloud formations expected across northern, eastern and southern parts of the country, potentially bringing showers to some locations.
Winds are forecast to remain light to moderate for much of the day but could strengthen considerably during periods of cloud activity, resulting in dusty conditions and reduced visibility in exposed areas.
Wind speeds may reach 50km/h in mountainous regions and 45km/h across inland areas, particularly when convective clouds develop.
Temperatures are expected to remain relatively high, with maximum readings reaching 39°C in inland regions, 37°C in coastal areas and islands, and 32°C in mountainous locations.
Meanwhile, humidity levels are likely to rise during the night and into Thursday morning, especially in some coastal and inland districts.
The increase in moisture could lead to the formation of fog or mist in certain areas during the early morning hours.
On Thursday, unsettled weather is expected to continue across parts of the UAE, with convective clouds likely to form over northern and eastern regions before spreading into some inland areas. These cloud formations could bring scattered rainfall, while winds may intensify to 50km/h, raising dust in exposed locations.
Friday is also expected to bring a possibility of showers, particularly in eastern parts of the country. Wind speeds could reach 40km/h, while increasing humidity may lead to mist formation in western areas during the night and early Saturday morning.
The weather outlook for Saturday and Sunday indicates similar conditions, with chances of rainfall continuing in eastern regions. Winds are forecast to reach speeds of up to 35km/h during this period.
Meanwhile, fog or mist could develop across some coastal and inland locations by early Monday morning as humidity levels increase overnight.
Despite the changing atmospheric conditions, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) expects seas to remain generally slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea throughout the five-day forecast period.
According to the NCM, the unsettled weather is associated with the extension of a surface low-pressure system, accompanied by a low-pressure system in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
These atmospheric conditions are expected to contribute to cloud development, occasional rainfall, stronger winds and periods of reduced visibility across different parts of the country.
