The UAE President said extending Emirati Women’s Day celebrations to a full month this year reflects the nation’s appreciation for Emirati women and their outstanding contributions.
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan paid tribute to Emirati women, calling them the pride of the nation and recognising their resilience and valuable contributions to the country’s ongoing development.
His remarks were shared on X on Friday as the UAE marked Emirati Women’s Day under the theme “Together, We Rise Stronger and Better.” Sheikh Mohamed, who is also Ruler of Abu Dhabi, said the occasion provided an opportunity to celebrate the values, achievements and contributions of Emirati women.
On Emirati Women’s Day, the UAE President said the nation is celebrating the values, achievements and resilience of Emirati women, whom he described as a source of national pride. He added that, for the first time, celebrations will continue for an entire month this year as a reflection of the UAE’s appreciation for their outstanding contributions to the country’s ongoing development.
Sheikh Mohamed added that Emirati women’s determination and forward-looking vision will continue to serve as a source of collective strength and progress for the nation.
For the first time, the UAE is extending its Emirati Women’s Day celebrations across an entire month, beginning on August 28, 2026. The nationwide programme will provide a platform to launch new initiatives, celebrate achievements and spotlight inspiring Emirati women.
The month-long celebration was announced earlier by Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, who said the occasion would go beyond a single day as the nation’s ambitions and achievements continue to grow.
