ADJD sees surge in remote hearings, smart enforcement and digital authentications.
Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) processed approximately 447,603 electronic requests during the first half of 2026, highlighting its continued expansion of digital judicial services and efforts to improve speed, accuracy and customer experience.
The department’s half-year performance report recorded 317,266 remote hearings, an increase of 6.25%, reflecting the growing use of digital technology to streamline court procedures and make judicial services more accessible and flexible.
Smart technology is also being used to speed up enforcement procedures. During the period, the digital system automatically processed 11,233 decisions cancelling enforcement orders linked to payments. The system allows such decisions to be cancelled and electronically approved immediately, with relevant entities notified without manual intervention.
Digital authentication services saw even greater activity, reaching 1,365,499 transactions in the first six months of the year. The figure highlights the continued expansion of ADJD’s digital ecosystem as demand for electronic judicial and authentication services grows.
In alternative dispute resolution, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department completed 5,690 cases through mediation and conciliation, an increase of 15%. The rise reflects growing reliance on amicable methods to resolve disputes efficiently while reducing the need for prolonged litigation.
The department also expanded services aimed at supporting family stability and social cohesion. During the first half of 2026, it conducted 6,126 family sessions, provided 314 online legal consultations and implemented 13,622 child visitation orders.
These services are designed to help protect family relationships, support children and strengthen family stability as a key foundation of society.
In judicial and notarial services, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department completed 44,531 transactions through public notaries, more than 11,000 through private notaries, and 29,827 attestation transactions during the first half of 2026.
The figures highlight the efficiency and capacity of Abu Dhabi’s judicial services ecosystem to handle rising transaction volumes while maintaining high standards of quality, speed and accuracy.
