Registration for Emirati pilgrims closes on September 25, with approved names to be announced by October 9.
Dubai: The UAE will open registration on September 14 for citizens wishing to perform Hajj in the 2027 season, the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat said on Monday.
Applications will be accepted through the authority’s smart app and website until September 25.
The authority said applicants would be selected through an automated screening system based on Cabinet Resolution No. 32 of 2018, along with approved eligibility criteria and conditions.
The screening process is expected to be completed by October 9, when the names of approved pilgrims will be announced. Successful applicants will then be contacted to complete the necessary procedures.
The authority said preparations were being launched early to ensure the process follows the approved timetable and provide sufficient time to complete registration, screening and arrangements for pilgrim services.
The authority said strategic plans were being developed to provide pilgrims with services both in the UAE and at the holy sites in Saudi Arabia, with the aim of ensuring a smooth and comfortable Hajj experience.
It attributed the UAE Pilgrims Affairs Office’s performance in previous Hajj seasons to continuous development, regular performance reviews, innovation and the use of technology to enhance services.
Preparations for the 2027 season will build on these efforts, with a focus on further improving the experience and services provided to UAE pilgrims.
