UAE cricket fans are set for another blockbuster this year, with India taking on Pakistan on September 5 in the 2026 Women’s Asia Cup. The UAE has been confirmed as the host of the tournament, which will be held in Dubai from August 28 to September 13, promising more than two weeks of top-class women’s cricket.
The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) on Thursday unveiled the fixtures and schedule for the 10th edition of the Women’s Asia Cup, which will be played in the T20 format.
Seven-time champions India have been drawn in Group A alongside Pakistan, Thailand and Hong Kong, China. Group B comprises defending champions Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, hosts UAE and Indonesia.
Sri Lanka will kick off the tournament against Bangladesh on August 28, while India begin their campaign against Hong Kong, China on August 30 before taking on arch-rivals Pakistan in the marquee group-stage clash on September 5.

The tournament will get underway on August 28 with Hong Kong, China taking on Thailand, while the marquee group-stage clash between India and Pakistan is scheduled for September 5.
All matches will be played under lights at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, with a 6.30pm local start. The final is scheduled for September 13, when the continent’s newest champions will be crowned.
Each team will play the other sides in its group once, with the top two teams from each pool advancing to the semi-finals. The first semi-final is scheduled for September 10, followed by the second on September 11, before the final on September 13.
The 2026 tournament marks the 10th edition of the Women’s Asia Cup and the sixth to be played in the T20 format. Sri Lanka head into the competition as defending champions after ending India’s dominance by lifting the trophy in 2024. Bangladesh remain the only other side to have won the title, having triumphed in 2018, while India are the tournament’s most successful team with seven crowns, including the last T20 edition in 2022.
