UAE traffic update: Heavy congestion reported on Dubai and Sharjah roads

Road incidents cause delays on Al Ittihad Street towards Dubai and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.

Dubai: Motorists in Dubai and Sharjah are experiencing a slower-than-usual start to the day, with heavy traffic reported on several key routes this morning, according to Google Maps’ real-time traffic data.

In Dubai, congestion is building along Sheikh Zayed Road, particularly around the Financial Centre and Dubai World Trade Centre Metro stations. Slow-moving traffic has also been reported on Sheikh Rashid Road near Dubai Frame, while Omar Bin Al Khattab Street in Al Baraha, Al Mustaqbal Street near Dubai Mall, and Financial Centre Street are also seeing delays.

Traffic incidents on Al Ittihad Street towards Dubai and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road near Muhaisnah are contributing to delays across several key routes.

In Sharjah, heavy congestion is reported on Al Wahda Street towards Dubai near Safeer Mall, while traffic is moving slowly along Third Industrial Street.

Delays are also affecting Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road between City Centre Zahia and National Paints Headquarters, as well as Emirates Road near Sharjah Grand Mosque.

Commuters are advised to check live traffic updates before starting their journeys and allow extra travel time during the morning rush.
