All activities will be carried out within a controlled sandbox environment.

Abu Dhabi: LuLu Financial Holdings, an Abu Dhabi-based financial services group, and CreataChain Pte. Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to assess the interoperability of CreataChain’s blockchain infrastructure through a controlled sandbox environment.
The technical assessment is designed exclusively to evaluate the platform’s capabilities in a simulated setting and will not involve live customer data, production systems, or regulated financial services. As part of the sandbox review, LuLuFin will examine CreataChain’s core ledger, smart contract capabilities, interoperability features, and developer tools to determine their technical performance and potential suitability for future integration.
The evaluation may cover areas including node deployment, wallet and software development kit (SDK) integration, smart contract testing, block and transaction validation, internal blockchain communication, and external network connectivity scenarios. All activities will be conducted within a controlled sandbox environment using only test accounts, synthetic data, and simulated transactions. No live payments, remittances, settlements, or customer asset transfers will take place during the assessment.
LuLuFin will provide technical input on sandbox configuration, operational requirements, infrastructure compatibility, and possible integration pathways. CreataChain will support the evaluation by providing its blockchain infrastructure, developer tools, wallet integration capabilities, smart contract environment, blockchain explorer access, and technical documentation.
“Innovation in financial services requires careful evaluation alongside technological progress. This MoU establishes a structured framework to assess emerging blockchain infrastructure within a controlled sandbox environment, enabling us to gain deeper insights into its technical capabilities,” said Joseph Cleetus, Vice President of Business Transformation at LuLuFin.
Jennifer Jin Kim, Chief Executive Officer of CreataChain, said the assessment reflects the broader needs of financial institutions when evaluating blockchain solutions. “Financial institutions do not assess blockchain infrastructure simply by determining whether an individual chain functions. They need to understand how internal systems, external networks, transaction processes, and verification layers interact. This MoU provides CreataChain with a framework to demonstrate Zenith, Catena, ICP, Lunar Link, Wallet, SDK, and Explorer within that broader ecosystem context,” she said.
Jeremy Jung, Chief Operating Officer of CreataChain, said the sandbox assessment will focus on practical integration capabilities, including node deployment, transaction creation, signing, submission, block verification, blockchain-to-blockchain communication, and external network connectivity. He added that the objective is to demonstrate how CreataChain’s infrastructure can function beyond a closed testing environment.
The MoU does not represent the launch or commercialisation of any payment, remittance, stablecoin, tokenised deposit, virtual asset, custody, exchange, or other regulated financial service. Any future regulated activities would be subject to separate agreements, regulatory approvals, compliance assessments, security reviews, and internal authorisations from both parties.
The evaluation highlights LuLuFin’s commitment to exploring emerging technologies that could help shape the future development of financial services.
