Some flights from the UAE to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia were affected on Monday, with travellers advised to check the latest updates from their airlines before heading to the airport.
Dubai: Passengers travelling to and from the UAE on Monday, July 27, are advised to verify their flight status before heading to the airport, as a limited number of regional services continue to experience cancellations and timetable changes due to ongoing regional tensions.
Although UAE airports are operating largely as normal, airlines are making adjustments to selected flights based on operational and security requirements. Travellers are advised to regularly check updates from their airline, remain in touch with their carrier and allow additional time for check-in, security checks and immigration procedures.

Additional Air Arabia services between Sharjah and Kuwait, as well as Sharjah and Bahrain, scheduled for July 28 have also been cancelled.
Etihad Airways flights to Kuwait have also continued to face disruptions following renewed US-Iran hostilities in mid-July. The latest changes come amid escalating regional tensions, including renewed strikes on Iranian targets after incidents involving tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and the breakdown of earlier de-escalation efforts.
Passengers travelling on the affected routes are advised to confirm the latest flight status through their airline’s official website, mobile application or customer support channels before leaving for the airport.
Despite these limited disruptions, most flights operating to and from the UAE continue to run as scheduled. Airlines are closely monitoring regional developments and making operational changes where required to ensure safe and smooth travel.

US advisory:
The US Department of State has advised travellers to prepare for potential flight cancellations, airspace restrictions and travel disruptions, while recommending that passengers confirm the latest information directly with airlines.
UK advisory:
The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) said the security situation remains unpredictable and may change rapidly. Travellers have been advised to monitor updates and follow local guidance.
Canada continues to advise against non-essential travel to the UAE, cautioning that renewed missile or drone activity could lead to flight disruptions.
Australia has urged citizens in the region to consider departing while commercial flight options remain available, provided it is safe to do so.
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has extended its advisory for the Gulf conflict zone until August 31, calling on airlines to exercise caution due to potential risks linked to missile and drone activity, military operations and falling debris.
