Joint committee reviews crisis response measures and AI solutions to strengthen national preparedness.

Dubai: The Standing Committee for Operations Affairs and the Federal Readiness and Preparedness Assessment Team held a joint coordination meeting chaired by Brigadier Dr. Salem Al Habsi, Deputy Director-General of Federal Central Operations.

Hosted at the Dubai Police Academy, the meeting brought together committee members, operations and crisis management officials, and a number of senior officers to review national preparedness and coordination efforts.

The discussions focused on security plans, business continuity strategies, and the federal readiness and preparedness assessment system. Participants also reviewed procedures for conducting security drills and operational scenarios, while exploring the role of advanced technologies, smart systems and artificial intelligence in strengthening preparedness, improving risk prediction and data analysis, and supporting faster, more effective decision-making during operational challenges.

The meeting also emphasised the importance of aligning these efforts with the government’s digital transformation and innovation goals, while strengthening coordination among relevant partners and enhancing overall readiness for emergencies and crises.

The meeting is part of the Ministry of Interior’s continued efforts to enhance the security framework and maintain the operational readiness of its teams. These initiatives aim to strengthen rapid response capabilities, support security and stability, and protect the community in accordance with approved standards and international best practices.
